I graduated with a B.Sc. in Mathematical Sciences with an area of emphasis in bioinformatics from the University of Guelph in April 2021. I have been volunteering with the Hajibabaei lab since May 2020, participating in a project focused on alignment-free sequence classification methods. I have experience as an adventure activities leader, and my current employment is focused on the collection and communication of spatial data in a field environment. I am interested in combining the technical skills I learned in the mathematics program with my passion for nature. I am currently working to pursue further education in bioinformatics.
